Wearing The Right Clothes

First and foremost, thank you to all of you who have read my blog posts and book, “Homey’s Adventures.” Today is blog day and I usually write about what has been on my mind over the past week. I have been thinking about a message I heard at church two weeks ago. So, this has rolled around inside my head for two weeks. The message reinforced my concept of true love and was based on Colossians 3, verse 12-14:

2 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

Therefore, we are to love each other with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. We should wear this as if it were our clothes.

I sat in church listening to this and my inner voice is yelling at me: “YES, YES, YES!!!!”

In my conversations with women, I am most attracted to a woman who loves me without regard to her own needs and wants. In fact, my inner horny old man, Homey, gets turned on when this happens.

I believe love is a one-way emotion. I believe that we are commanded by God to love without regard to our own needs or wants.

One of my past blog posts was about a book entitled “Love Does” by Bob Goff. I like this book so much because Bob writes about loving others without regard to his own needs or wants. Bob is my kind of loving kindred spirit. Bob does what I want to do. I want to continue to wear the clothes that Jesus commands us to wear.

So, I urge you to be at peace with yourself. I truly only want what is best for you, my reader. I would love to meet you someday to see God’s most beautiful creations. Until then. I want you all to be happy and well.

If you read my book, you will see that I am a sinner just like every other man who has ever lived except Jesus. You should also know that I am trying to wear the clothes that Jesus wants me to wear.
