Homey’s Adventures Too – Chapter 21 – After MoviePitch

First and foremost, thank you to all who have read my past blog posts and my book, “Homey’s Adventures.”

As promised, I am continuing the series of all the chapters of my new book, “Homey’s Adventures Too.” I am now 71 and I decided that I did not want to spend my time haggling with editors, literary agents, and publishers. The main thing I am interested in is to write for your pleasure and mine. So, without further delay, here is Chapter 21:

Chapter 21 – After MoviePitch

I was tired after the MoviePitch event. I decided to blow off steam by doing what I like most doing in Las Vegas. I took a walk. I was strolling along, and a couple of street entertainers dressed in spandex bunny costumes with fish net stockings beckoned me over to talk.

“Would you like to take a picture with us?’

“I’m sorry, my phone is in my hotel room getting charged.”

“You sure? We would really like to take a picture with you.”

“I tell you what. I know you are trying to make a living. I will just give you $5.”

I gave her $5 and the other one asked: “Can I have one too?”

I then gave her $5.

The first one offered: “We can use my phone and then I will text it to your phone.”

I thought about that for second. If she got my phone number, then she could send me a lot of junk. However, they were both cute and I appreciated their attention. I was not the invisible old man to them.

“Okay let’s do it.”

The street entertainer grabbed and asked a person in passing: “Do you mind taking pictures of us?”

They then positioned themselves cuddling up to me on both sides. They kissed my cheek and showed their sexy rear end cheeks to the camera.

They then did something that I was not expecting. They squatted down and stuck out their tongue like they were going to both give me a blow job.

I opened my mouth and looked down to accentuate my surprise. It was a good picture to share with my friends in the future!

After a short walk, I went back to my hotel room and started texting with Xena. I shared my street entertainer photos with her and a photo that I took the day before with Catherine the Great. I have never known my Xena to be jealous which is one of the many things I loved about her. She knew Homey and I belonged to her.

Jealousy is a sin that the devil uses to destroy love. I had a lot more reason to be jealous of her incredible inside and outside beauty than she had to be jealous of me or anyone else.

She did have a request: “Baby can you take pictures of the pyramid casino and the Eiffel tower casino for me?”

“Yes darling, I will go down there tomorrow and get pictures for you.”

The next day, I headed south again for the Luxor which is the pyramid casino in Las Vegas. It was a longer walk than the Tropicana walk because it is a couple of blocks south of the Tropicana.

It was cold for Vegas, about 45 F. I did not bring any coat except my Brooks Brothers sports jacket. As I passed a couple of street entertainers along the way, one of them called out: “You look good today!” I smiled and thought, Vegas is a lot friendlier these days. Most people do not dress up during the day in Vegas. I was just trying to keep warm, but I will have to remember this for when I feel like an invisible old man again. Homey liked getting attention from attractive young women.

After the long walk to the Luxor, I went inside and had a diet coke and played a little slot to rest. I was surprised to find out that drinks were still free in Vegas if you were gambling. If you were not gambling, even a diet coke cost $5.

After I rested up, I headed for the Paris casino where they had an Eiffel Tower. I had lunch under the Eiffel tower at a French restaurant. I had French onion soup and a side salad.

My waiter was very pleasant, and I found out that the restaurant was not a Caesar’s property even though the Paris casino is a Caesar’s property. So, I had to pay cash rather than using my Caesar’s card like I did at Margaritaville. The food was delicious and better than the average Caesar’s restaurant.

I discovered that the Eiffel tower was not open until 4 PM and my phone was running out of battery. So, I took a picture from the outside for my Xena.

When I got back to my hotel, I texted Xena and shared the pictures that I took for her. I always try to do whatever I say I am going to do. I believe that doing what you say and saying what you will do shows character and instills trust. These are things I will always want for and with my Xena. I loved her and I always will.

I found Vegas a lot more friendly this time than in the past. I think Covid 19 has caused people to be less self-aware and more aware of others. In my past trips, I found the people who lived in sin city tended to be cold and callous. I think this was because visitors tended to be more self-indulgent. I pray that this new mutual awareness endures after Covid 19 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
