First and foremost, thank you to all of you who have read my blogs and my book, “Homey Adventures”. Last week I asked my Xena for any ideas on what to put in my blog this week.
Here is what she wrote:
If you go outside, preferably where there is always some kind of traffic, you can see how people are puzzled in order to earn more money, they will always have few of them, no matter how much they earn. Every day a person begins with the fact that he gets up and goes to work to make money. Money is essentially just pieces of paper, and we are ready to do everything for it just to get it, but the point is that no matter how much we earn, it will never be enough for us, a person is such a creature that no matter how much you give him it is always not enough, we do not know the reasonable limit and I am not saying that everyone is like that, but most of them are like that. If the network thinks over everything well, then the question arises why spend so much effort for the sake of some pieces of paper? But each person has a specific goal – this is an apartment, a car, a business and what else is left for food. But people who have all this will continue to work more and more and save money anyway, I am not saying that this is bad, no, it is good. I want to say that there must be some kind of stability in life, why wear yourself out. There is a part of people who are ready to do everything for the sake of money, and there is that part of people who are ready to give any money so that everything works out the way they want it. I want to say that a person actually doesn’t need much, it’s just that we invent something for ourselves and drive ourselves into this framework, and then we regret that it happened …
I have a creative mind and I don’t always know why I think of things, but for some reason I thought of the George Harrison song, “I Got My Mind Set on You”. Here are the lyrics:
I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
But it’s gonna take money
A whole lotta spendin’ money
It’s gonna take plenty of money
To do it right, child
It’s gonna take time
Whole lot of precious time
It’s gonna take patience and time, mmm
To do it, to do it, to do it, to do it, to do it
To do it right, child
I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
And this time I know it’s real
The feelin’ that I feel
I know if I put my mind to it
I know that I really can do it
(Repeat from the beginning)
(Set on you)
(Set on you)
Set on you
Set on you
Set on you
Set on you
Set on you, set on you
Set on you
Maybe this song was in my mind just because it is a very catchy song. God knows this happens very often. But after thinking about it, I think both Xena and George are really talking about love. You have probably heard the phrases: Time is money and God is love. After 70 years of living, I have chosen love over money and God over time. I want to love my Xena and God and all of God’s children forever.
It took Michelangelo 4 years to paint the Sistine chapel. I think he did it out of love and didn’t care about the time it took or the money. His mind was set on his love of painting and glorifying God. Michelangelo’s love has and will transcend the ages.
